実はさりげなく銀座初個展です（笑）。銀座一丁目にある、画廊が集まる築85年のレトロな奥野ビル1階の銀座Gallery G2さんで開催します。
covid-19パンデミックの間に制作した蓮の花の絵シリーズの新展開を展示致します。ご高覧をお待ちしております。

会期中は木・土・日・月・火曜各2PM以降を中心に作家在廊の予定です。

作品について

2000年夏に上野の不忍池で蓮の美しさに惹かれて以来、蓮の花の絵を描き続けています。
蓮の花は、明治政府による神仏分離まで約千年間続いた、日本独自の信仰である神仏習合のシンボルです。蓮の花を描くことで、アジアと日本の繋がり、自然と人間の繋がりを表現しています。
※と、ちょっと小難しいことを書きましたが、蓮の花や女性をモチーフに描いています。

In the 2000s, I have mainly created lotus paintings. Those express the connection between Asia and Japan, nature and human. Lotus flowers are a symbol of Shinto and Buddhism mixture. This reflects a unique Japanese belief which had had for about a thousand years in Japan until 1868, when the separation of Shinto and Buddhism was promoted by Meiji government.

プライベートでは2017年に13年にわたるシングルファーザー卒業。

Tetsuo Hagiwara is a painter, web and graphic designer based in Tokyo.
Since the 1980s, I have held solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, live painting events, store interiors and other art events. From 1998, I have been conducting a poetry reading during my art exhibitions.
In private, I graduated from being a single father for 13 years since 2004.
